A breakdown of our Cape Peninsula Tour.

Looking for a day trip that combines natural beauty, quirky seaside charm, and iconic landmarks? Our Cape Peninsula Tour is a full-day experience that takes you along one of the most scenic routes in the world — through the heart of the Deep South.

Stop 1: Kalk Bay – Coffee, Colour, and Coastal Charm

We begin the day in the characterful seaside village of Kalk Bay, recently named one of the coolest towns in the world. This vibrant, bohemian enclave offers a little something for everyone — from artisanal coffee shops and quirky boutiques to oceanfront eateries and vintage bookshops. Take a stroll along the working harbour, watch local fishermen haul in their catch, and soak up the town’s laid-back vibe. It’s hard to believe that this charming spot was once an old whaling outpost — today, it’s all about slow living and coastal creativity.

Stop 2: Boulders Beach – Meet the Penguins

Next, we travel a short distance to Simon’s Town, home to one of the most adorable wildlife encounters in South Africa. At Boulders Beach, you’ll come face to face with a colony of critically endangered African Penguins. Watch them waddle, swim, and bask in the sun on the soft white sands — and don’t forget your camera. The boardwalks through the dunes offer excellent views without disturbing their natural habitat, making it a conservation-friendly experience.

Stop 3: Cape Point & Cape of Good Hope – Ocean, fynbos and wildlife

From Simon’s Town, the tour winds its way through the dramatic landscapes of Table Mountain National Park to Cape Point — a place steeped in maritime legend and natural beauty. For the adventurous, there’s an optional scenic walk from Cape Point to the Cape of Good Hope, a trail that hugs the cliffs and offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean. Alternatively, we’ll drive you straight to the famous Cape of Good Hope sign, marking the south-westernmost tip of the African continent.

Stop 4: Gourmet Picnic in the Wild

After all that exploring, it’s time to relax. We’ll take you to a secluded picnic spot deep within the reserve, where your private guide will set up a gourmet picnic amid the rugged beauty of the Cape’s fynbos-covered hills. Expect fresh, locally sourced ingredients, excellent wine, and the kind of tranquillity that can only be found off the beaten path.

Final Stop: Chapman’s Peak Drive – A Grand Finale

As the day winds down, we return to Cape Town via the spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive — a world-renowned coastal road that hugs the cliffs between Noordhoek and Hout Bay. With dramatic drops to the ocean on one side and towering mountains on the other, this drive is the perfect finale to a day of awe-inspiring scenery and unforgettable experiences.
